Is EPDM right for your roof?

EPDM is a synthetic rubber membrane for flat and low-slope roofs. It stays flexible in cold weather, comes in large sheets with few seams and is simple to repair when it gets damaged.

It is a strong fit for flat sections of homes, garages, porches and many commercial roofs. Where a white, reflective roof or heat-welded seams matter more, we compare it with PVC or TPO in your estimate.

EPDM roofing contractor in North Jersey

Imperial Roof Repair & Replacement installs and repairs EPDM rubber roofs on homes and commercial buildings in Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon and Somerset counties. Every job starts with a free inspection and an itemized, written price.

Signs your EPDM roof needs repair

  • Seams opening or lifting
  • Membrane shrinking from the edges
  • Punctures or cuts in the rubber
  • Cracked flashing around pipes
  • Water ponding in low spots
  • Blisters under the membrane

EPDM repair or replacement?

Seam failures, punctures and loose flashing on a roof with dry insulation can be repaired with EPDM patches and seam tape. If the membrane has shrunk across the whole roof or the insulation below is wet, a new roof costs less over time than repeated repairs.
